Restoration of historical sites underway in Ghazni

GHAZNI: The restoration work of some historical sites has been started in the country’s central province of Ghazni, the provincial Information and Culture Department said in a statement Sunday. Deputy Minister of Art and Culture for the Ministry of Information and Culture Mawlavi Atiqullah Azizi said that restoration work of the Khawja Malikyar’s historical bird pond, the Balabin bridge of the old city of Ghazni and the historical tomb of Taj-ul-Awlya have been started in the province, according to the statement. He asked the international agencies without consideration of political issues, to cooperate in the restoration of the country’s historical sites, the statement added. The Kabul Times
