KABUL: The Deputy Publication Minister of Information and Culture, Hayatullah Muhajer Farahi, addressing the 9th St. Petersburg International Culture Forum in Russia, said the relations between the countries and the world can be expanded through cultural diplomacy, the ministry said in a statement the other day. Stressing that cultures of communities and countries served their identities should be respected, Farahi said cultures should never be challenged through the use of political pressure or force, according to the statement. Farahi asked all the participating countries to raise their voices in support of the oppressed people of Palestine. The topic of the forum was determined as instructed by the Russian president: History and Modernity in Artistic Culture. The program includes three units: Getting to Know History via Culture, Artificial Intelligence, a Threat or a Benefit for Culture, and Traditional Culture as a Foundation for Building a Civilized Society.
