Reconstruction work on small bridges underway in Paktika

KABUL: Paktika provincial Directorate of Urban Development has opened reconstruction work on 11 small bridges worth 3.5 million AFG on roads connecting provincial capital to districts.
According to Paktika Governor Mawlavi Abdullah Mukhtar, with efforts and initiative of provincial directorate of urban development the reconstruction work on 11 small bridges on main road connecting provincial capital to the province’s districts has been started and will be completed in two months.
“11 small bridges that have been completely destroyed due to floods in past years and have created lots of problems for commuters will be reconstructed with total cost of 3.5 million AFG,” the governor said, adding that the project will be completed in two months.
Meanwhile, provincial director of urban development Mawlavi Mohammad Akbar Adel by pointing to reconstruction of the small bridges on roads connecting Sharana, the provincial capital, to districts said four small bridges would be reconstructed on a road connecting provincial capital to Mutta Khan district, five small bridges would be on road connecting the provincial capital to Urgun district and two would be on road connecting the provincial capital to Yousufkhil district.
He said that the reconstruction project on the bridges worth 3.5 million AFG would be implemented by Bidar Himat Construction Company and would be completed in two months.
It is worth mentioning that Paktika provincial directorate for urban development has worked on other small and big bridges in the province where the people are easily commute from the provincial capital to the province’s districts.
