Reconstruction work on road connecting Bamyan, Daikundi kicked off

BAMYAN: The provincial Public Works Director of Bamyan province Mullah Abdul Khaliq Haqmal said Wednesday that work on reconstruction of road connecting two neighboring provinces of Bamyan and Daikundi had been underway. The project has been started from Konak Pass to Waras district center had got underway, as a statement from the provincial Public Works office called the road a key route connecting the central provinces. Rebuilding of the road would create facilities for the passengers between the two provinces, according to that statement. A team of the provincial Public Works Directorate, equipped with machinery, was working on the project that expected to be finished in the near future. Road crashes have frequently happened along the way between the two mountainous provinces and the authorities have now commenced work on the rebuilding of the road to prevent more traffic incidents.
