Reconstruction, development projects top priority, Mawlavi Kabir

KABUL: The Deputy Prime Minister for Political Affairs Mawlavi Abdul Kabir, said that implementation of reconstruction and development projects is one of the top priorities of the Islamic Emirate. Mawlavi Kabir made the remarks during a meeting with a number of scholars and elders of Lakan tribe of Khost province, his office said in a statement Tuesday. Calling the efforts and sacrifices of Khost residents against the Soviet and Ameri can aggression unforgettable, Mawlavi Kabir said that the Mujahid people of this province have made tireless efforts and sacrifices to consolidate the Islamic system in the country, according to the statement. Meanwhile, the Lakan tribal elders shared proposals and problems as well as information about the social and security situation of the province and asked the leadership of the Islamic Emirate to pay serious attention in launching development projects in Khost province, the statement added. “Necessary efforts should be done to eliminate ethnic differences and disputes in the province and regional level,” the statement quoted the elder as saying. Also, Deputy PM Kabir once again expressed the IEA’s commitment in implementing infrastructure projects in the country and assured the proposals and challenges of Khost ethnic elders will be addressed in the future.
