Rare animal, birds hunting prohibited in Farah, official

KABUL: The Ministry of Hajj and Religious Affairs has asked the residents to avoid hunting animals and birds in the country’s western Farah province.
“Through religious clerics, the officials of the provincial Hajj and Religious Affairs in Farah, asked the entire residents of the province to not hunt animals and birds,” said the ministry in a statement released to media.
Residents of Farah welcomed the order and said they were happy for the prohibition of the hunting of animals and birds.
Meanwhile, a Qatari aid institution that breeds and raises wild animals and rare birds released them into the desert in Farah, according to a media source. Officials of the institution said that the purpose of this work is to prevent the extinction of these animals and birds.
“This institution can prevent the extinction of these animals and return them to the desert,” said Fazal Ahmad, a veterinarian of the Algharrafa Foundation, as quoted by ToloNews TV. The Kabul Times
