Qosh Tepa National T20 cricket tournament kicked off among five zones in Kabul, ACB

KABUL: The Qosh Tepa National T20 cricket tournament has been kicked off in the capital Kabul City among five zones’ teams of the country, preparing the players for the next World Cup, the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) said in a statement the other day. Naming it with the name of national project, the tournament has been launched by Afghanistan Cricket Board’s domestic cricket department and teams of five zones including Spin Ghar, Band-e-Amir, Bost, Amo and Mis-Ainak, will play in the said tournament, the statement said, adding to prepare the A f g h a n players f o r t h e u p – coming World Twenty20, which will be held in the United States and the West Indies in June. Hashmatullah Shahidi, the Band-e-Amir team’s captain said: “It is our honor to organize such a tournament under the name of a national and vital project and it is a good opportunity for the citizens to come and closely watch the games and enjoy the colors of the game in the ground.” The first match between Band-e-Amir and Bost is being played today in the morning, then at two in the afternoon, the Spinghar team competes against Mis-Ainak at Kabul Cricket Stadium.
