Qatar Al Khairya Foundation to build 400-bed hospital in Kandahar

KANDAHAR: A 400-bed hospital will be built by Qatar Al Khairya Foundation in the country’s southern province of Kandahar, the provincial governor’s office said in a statement the other day. The representative of Qatar Al Khairya Foundation, Engineer Jamal Qasim Mohammad during a meeting with the Governor of Kandahar Hajji Mullah Sahib said that the foundation is going to build a new, modern 400-bed medical facility and bolstering the capabilities of the 350-bed Aino Meena Hospital with upgraded equipment in the province, according to the statement Meanwhile, the provincial governor Hajji Mullah Sahib said that Afghans have been suffering for years and now they need to reach the necessary health services in every area, the statement added. “After the resumption of power by the Islamic Emirate, countrywide security has been ensured, and there is now a good opportunity for the institutions and charities of every country to work in Afghanistan,” the statement quoted Kandahar governor as saying.
