Proper education environment will be provided, minister

KABUL: Acting Minister of Higher Education of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA)  Mawlavi Neda Mohammad Nadim has met with officials of the association of the country’s private universities and exchanged views on some key higher education related issues, a statement from the ministry said Wednesday. In the meeting, the Higher Education Minister appreciated the efforts and educational services of the private universities for the country’s young generation and assured that necessary attention will be paid to provide a good educational environment in the country, the statement quoted.  “Progress and development of a country depends on standard higher education and educated youths,” he said adding efforts were underway to develop and strengthen private educational universities and institutions in the country. Meanwhile, the Director of Quality Assurance and Accreditation Department of the Ministry of Higher Education Shakirullah Wahedi shared necessary in formation about evaluation checklists of the department for the officials of private universities association, the statement further said. Also, the Director of private universities association Ahmad Tariq Kamal spoke on behalf of others and shared the challenges and proposals of the association with the officials of the ministry, the statement added. Officials of the ministry have also assured to address the challenges facing the private educational institutions and a fair educational environment will be provided for all Afghans countrywide.
