Afghanistan Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) says the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) has made good relations with the international community. Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi in his recent remarks has said that currently, Kabul has good relations with all regional and world countries.
During his recent visit to Kunduz, acting Minister of Foreign Affairs in speaking to local officials in the province said that good progress has been made between the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) and the international community.
“The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) has formal relations with the international community as good progress has been made in this regard,” Muttaqi said, adding that the world also wants to have engagement with the IEA as engagement between Kabul and the world is in the interest of Afghanistan.
He added that their relations were getting stronger every day as high-ranking delegations from foreign countries were visiting Kabul, and Kabul’s delegates were going abroad.
The acting foreign minister pledged the full support of the government in addressing the challenges that exist for residents of Kunduz province.
According to the acting minister of foreign affairs, the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s relations with countries and the IEA high-ranking officials’ travels abroad are official, but there is a separate issue involving the many reasons that recognition has not been announced, the IEA has made progress toward recognition as well.
Currently, the Islamic Emirate wants to maintain good and strong relations with the international community based on the framework of global principles as by following a balanced policy it has maintained relations with neighboring countries and other countries in the region and world.
It is worth mentioning that the countries of the region, China, India, Iran, Russia and Pakistan have provided Afghanistan with humanitarian assistance.
The recent message of the foreign minister of China about continued aid to Afghanistan and launching of projects in the country, the recent visit of the Russian President to Tajikistan, recent visit of the Indian delegation to Kabul and the opening of the Indian consulate in the country, kicking off work on the railway by Iran in the northwest of the country are all considered as the most positive achievements of the Islamic Emirate.
To sum up the issue, it should be said that based on international principles, when the war in a country ends and the country starts moving towards peace, the international community, especially the United Nations (UN) have to start their assistance to the respective countries with a new mission to help them return to a normal life.
