Prof. Bawari inaugurating Parwan Art Gallary

CHARIKAR: Deputy Minister of Information and Culture on Cultural and Art Affairs, Prof. Mohammad Rasoul Bawari inaugurated Parwan Art Gallery during the first Visual Arts Festival held in that province on Saturday, Bakhtar News Agency (BNA) reported.
According to the agency, during the ceremony which was held in Parwan Information and Culture Department’s hall and attended by deputy minister of information and culture Prof. Mohammad Rasoul Bawari, Parwan administrations’ heads, painters from Kabul, Bamyan, Maidan Wardak and Parwan provinces, scholars, culturists and youth, calling establishment of Parwan Art Gallery a precious step, deputy minister Bawari said Parwan information and culture department has always made effort and has been forerunner in implementation of cultural plans.
He added holding such art festivals means to value the life and called establishment of art gallery part of the life.
Head of Parwan information and culture department, Abdul Wahid Hashimi said the main aim behind holding the festival is to protect the art works, improve the arts and education and support educational system of the country.
He also thanked the ministry of information and culture that has helped to hold the festival.
He added over 40 precious works form the base of Parwan Art Gallery and the figure would raise in the future.
At the end, a number of participants were awarded with appreciation letters and statues.
