KABUL: The Ministry of Education released a statement on Monday saying that all public and private girl’s schools under seventh grades, madrasas and courses would be reopened countrywide.
“All girl schools, including public and private ones, under grade seven, would be reopened and female students can continue their lessons,” said the statement asking all female teachers to observe hijab, while teaching.
“The doors of girl schools above the sixth grade will remain closed for a limited time until some reforms expected to be brought in accordance with the sharia laws and Afghan traditions part of the girl schooling policy”, the statement said quoting the education minister. The Kabul Times
