President Ghani inaugurates Khost International Airport

KABUL: President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani inaugurated the Khost International Airport during his trip to the province on Saturday morning.
President Ghani visited Khost province along with the First Vice President Amrullah Saleh and other high-ranking officials where he also held talks with security officials and some residents of the province, the Presidential Palace said.
Khost Airport project costs 900 million Afs ($11 million) and it has been built based on international norms, according to officials.
The construction of the airport was started 10 years ago.
The first international flight landed at the airport last month.
The president also welcomed passengers of the flight from Dubai to Kabul.
During a meeting to assess security situation, the president assured Khost people of government support and thanked them of remaining beside their brave security forces.
