KABUL: President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani chaired the meeting of the National Security Council (NSC) meeting, at the Gul Khana Palace, a statement from the Presidential Press Office said Thursday.
The meeting discussed issues related to June 2, 2017 protest, resulted in the death of Mohammad Salem Ezidyar, the statement said.
According to the statement, the Attorney General Office has been instructed to investigate into the case and finalize it at a specific time.
The meeting also discussed the general security situation of the country, particularly Sar-e-Pul and Uruzgan provinces and issued instruction regarding security development and rebuffing enemy threats, the statement added.
The security and defense forces have also been instructed to provide aids to the displaced people of Uruzgan province, the statement said.
