President Ghani accepts Ukrainian new Non-Resident Ambassador’s credentials

KABUL: President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Mohammad Ashraf Ghani has officially accepted the diplomatic letter of credence of the newly appointed Ukrainian Non-Resident Ambassador to Kabul, the Presidential Press Office said Sunday. In a special ceremony held at the Presidential Palace, the newly appointed Ukrainian Non-Resident Ambassador to Kabul, Vasyl M. Servatiuk expressed pleasure for his new mission in Afghanistan and that his country was seeking economic cooperation and expansion of further exports and imports with Afghanistan, according to the statement. The ambassador also said his country was ready to issue scholarships for the Afghan students and for resuming new chapter of cooperation, it wanted to open its embassy in Afghanistan, the statement quoted. Welcoming the newly appointed Ukrainian Non-Resident Ambassador to Kabul, the country’s president hoped success for him in his new job and said his country wanted to expand cooperation in the fields of economy with the regional and world countries, particularly with Ukraine and wanted to send students to that country for higher education. He said with the opening of the Ukrainian embassy in Kabul, new round of relations would begin between the two countries, the statement quoted.
