KABUL: Spokesman of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan Zabihullah Mujahid has rejected the International Crisis Group (ICG) claim that Tehrik Talibane Pakistan (TTP) group is stationed in Afghanistan. “Not only would they not allow TTP, but any other group that is trying to pose a threat from Afghanistan’s soil to other countries,” Mujahid assured adding the problem of the TTP belongs to Pakistan, not the Afghans. “If they (TTP) try to use Afghansoil, we will not allow it,” he said. The International Crisis Group in a report claimed that the ‘TTP’s central command is based in Afghanistan and the tempo of the group’s attacks in Pakistan rose soon after the Afghan Taliban [Islamic Emirate]took the Afghan capital Kabul in mid-August 2021.’ Afghanistan and Pakistan enjoy good relations and the ICG is trying to undermine them, said the Islamic Emirate spokesman.
