KABUL: Construction of a waterpower-supply plant was kicked off in the country’s southern province of Maidan Wardak, a local official said the other day.
The project, which is expected to be launched in Tuptdasht area of the province, will cost up to 40 million Afghanis (each U.S. dollar equals to some 90 Afghanis), according to the provincial governor office’s statement released the other day.
The Ministry of Interior is said to pay the fund from its own budget, said the statement.
The provincial police training center will be provided with round the clock electricity, after the completion of the project, according to the statement.
