Poppy on 411 acres of lands destroyed in 8 provinces

KABUL: Poppy on 411 acres of lands have been destroyed in eight provinces of the country, the Counter-Narcotic Department of the Ministry of Interior Affairs said in a statement on Tuesday. “Over 410 acres of poppy lands have been destroyed in Spinghar and Achin districts of Nangarhar, al-Farooq district of Ghor and Shibar districts of Bamyan, as well as in Baghlan and Wardak provinces of the country, by the counter-narcotics personal,” the statement said.
