Polish tourists visit Herat’s historical sites

HERAT: Ten Polish tourists visited historical sites of the country’s western province of Herat, the provincial Information and Culture Directorate said in a statement Sunday. “After the resumption of power by the Islamic Emirate and ensuring countrywide sure security dozens of foreign and domestic tourists have visited Herat province and bypassing each single day the number is increasing,” the statement quoted Director of the provincial Information and Culture Mawlavi Naimulhaq Haqqani as saying. Provincial officials and people in the province welcome tourists as guests the statement said adding that the tourists are their countries’ ambassadors and will play a significant role to strengthen the cultural relationships among the countries. Meanwhile, the Polish tourists said that after the takeover of Afghanistan by the IEA and ensuring countrywide security, they came here and will visit all historical sites and places of the country, the statement added. This is to be noted that the number of foreign tourists visiting the historical monuments of the country has increased compared to the previous years, and the IEA’s officials are making efforts to strengthen the tourist industry and provide tourists with the necessary facilities in the country, according to the statement.
