KABUL: Three narcoticsproducing factories have been destroyed and thirteen individuals in connection with running the factories arrested in some provinces of the country, the Ministry of Interior Affairs said in a statement Sunday. “The counter-drugs police personnel of the ministry during a series of anti-narcotics operations have destroyed a drug processing lab in Helmand province and two narcotics processing factories in Ghor province,” the statement said, arresting thirteen individuals on charges of running the factories and trafficking of the narcotics. Over 22,000 kilograms of narcotics have also been discovered and seized in the factories, the statement quoted. Based on another report, hashish on tens of acres of land has been destroyed in Helmand and Samangan provinces of the country, the statement added. The Kabul Times
