PM urges world not to interfere in Afghanistan’s affairs

KABUL: Prime Minister of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan Mullah Mohammad Hassan Akhund criticized freezing of the Afghan national assets and urged Washington to honor its commitments made with the Islamic Emirate, the Prime Minister’s Press Office said in a statement.
The Prime Minister said that Afghans were celebrating the first day of Eid in a “good security situation,” and called on the Afghans, who had left Afghanistan, to return home, the statement quoted.
Addressing a grand ceremony on Eid-ul-Fitr, the Prime Minister called on Afghanistan’s neighbors and some world countries to stop meddling in the country’s internal affairs.
The Prime Minister blamed the U.S. for persistently continuation of freezing the country’s assets urged it to stay committed to its promises.
“We said that we will not harm anyone or any country and we do not want to be interfered by any country,” said PM adding IEA keeps promises honored. “We are Muslims, foreign countries should not create problems for Muslims, but keep their promises honored,” the statement quoted him as saying. “The economic crisis was the result of years of occupation, said the prime minister adding that the Islamic Emirate was committed to human rights and other values in accordance with the Islamic teachings,” the statement quoted him as saying. He also said that Afghan citizens were celebrating the Eid under a good and secure atmosphere and called on the Afghans left for other countries, to return home.
“What else do you want from the Mujahideen? [the religious name of the Islamic Emirate forces]. You, your property, your children and your business are protected,” the statement quoted.
The Prime Minister welcomed Eid and the establishment of security and an Islamic system in Afghanistan.
On the other hand, Afghanistan’s Acting Interior Minister Sirajuddin Haqqani, in a statement, said that the amnesty decree, announced on Eid, was the pledge of the Islamic Emirate’s leadership, which everyone must follow, and forces who violate it will be brought to justice soon.
