People’s welfare top priority of IEA, Mujahid

KABUL: The spokesman of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan Zabihullah Mujahid, said that the country’s progress, welfare and unity are at the top priority of the Islamic Emirate.
A scientific research conference titled “The current situation of the country, opportunities and challenges” was held at the conference hall of the Kabul University with the participation of the Acting Minister of Higher Education, officials of the Islamic Emirate, scholars, university professors, lawyers and students.
A comprehensive discussion was made on the opportunities provided by the Islamic Emirate system in various sectors.
Zabihullah Mujahid, spokesman of the Islamic Emirate, called such scientific research conferences valuable and important in the current situation of the country and said:
“Afghanistan experienced long wars and is now facing many political and economic problems and holding such scientific meetings can be effective in addressing the problems”.
He further said that long devastating war ended and after the Islamic Emirate take over the country, the security situation has improved, but some seditious circles are operating and serious work is ongoing to eliminate them, and it is the responsibility of the system and the people to help for the country’s development.
He asked the scientific, educational and research institutions to cooperate with the Islamic Emirate by publishing scientific-research articles in the fight against seditious circles.
“Foreign pressures in the economic sector is one of the country’s challenges said Mujahid adding that experts should search for solutions of the blocked money”.
Addressing the conference, he said that religious education can save the country and that students should maintain their religious beliefs.
Meanwhile, Acting Minister of Higher Education, Abdul Baqi Haqqani, said the aim of holding the conference was to discuss the opportunities presented by the Islamic Emirate and to address the current challenges.
Dr. Sayed Usman Aziz, Dean of Kabul University while speaking in the conference said in the past year, several scientific-research seminars and conferences have been held by educational institutions on fighting natural disasters, environmental protection and other fields.
