Panjshir river’s water to be supplied to Kabul, Mawlavi Kabir

KABUL: The Deputy Prime Minister for Political Affairs Mawlavi Abdul Kabir, while addressing the inauguration sapling plantation campaign in the Badam Bagh area of Kabul said that efforts are underway to transfer water from Panjshir River to Kabul. Mawlavi Kabir said that the lack of a canalization system in Kabul has resulted in the contamination of underground water in the city and the transfer of water from the Panjshir River is essential for addressing the needs of Kabul citizens, Arg said in a statement on Tuesday. The opening ceremony of the campaign was launched today with the participation of highranking government officials of the Islamic Emirate in Badam Bagh, area of Kabul. The sapling plantation campaign was launched by the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock on the eve of the spring of the 1403 solar year. The Kabul Times
