Pamir residents receive winter aids

KABUL: A committee within the Ministry of Frontiers and Tribal affairs, has been set to provide winter aids for hundreds of local people residing in the country’s northern Badakhshan province’s Pamir districts, a statement from the ministry said the other day.
Pamir is the remotest area located in Badakhshan province, where the people are deprived of primary essentials.
The Islamic Emirate’s Ministry of Frontiers and Tribal Affairs has made its efforts to provide them with food and winter aids including clothing.
Representatives of the two; Upper and Lower Pamirs took over the aids provided by the ministry as the way to the far-flanged mountainous districts was hard to reach, according to the statement.
“18 tons of food and non-food items have been submitted to the representatives of the Pamir residents,” said the statement.
Due to impassable mountainous roads, the items have been delivered to Walijan warehouse to be duly sent to the area, said the statement. The Kabul Times
