Pakistan’s assertion is regrettable: IEA Spokesman

KABUL: The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan wants peaceful relations with all its neighboring countries, including Pakistan and believes in all the ways that can lead to achieve this goal, IEA spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid wrote in his official twitter account.
“Recently, Pakistani officials have been making false statements about Afghanistan, which we call regrettable.
The Islamic Emirate is trying its best not to use the territory of Afghanistan against Pakistan or any other country,” Mujahid said.
“We are committed to this goal, but the Pakistani side also has a responsibility to resolve the situation, avoid baseless talks and provocative ideas, because such talks and mistrust are not in the interest of the two nations,” said the spokesman.
As the Islamic Emirate values peace and stability in Afghanistan, it wants peace and stability for the entire region and continues its efforts in this regard, he said.
Former president of the country, Hamid Karzai has also reacted to the recent Pakistani national security meeting chaired by Pak Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and said: “Both countries people are friends, but the current situation and insecurity are the result of the Pakistani government’s incorrect policy.”
“In order to effectively fight insecurity, Pakistan should revise its policy of the past few decades, avoid threat and tension and resume the best ways for restoring peace and security in the region,” said Hamid Karzai the former president. The Kabul Times
