Pakistan forcibly deportes over 800 Afghan refugees in 2 days, ministry

KABUL: As many as 837 Afghan refugees have forcibly been deported by the Pakistani government and returned to their country through Torkham and Spin Boldak crossings in the last two days, the Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation said in a statement the other day. The returnees after registration with the provincial refugees and repatriation departments, have been introduced to the International Organization for Migration (IOM) to receive essential assistance, the statement said, adding that the Islamic Emirate has also paid 10,000 Afghani for every family. Pakistani government launched the second phase of deporting illegal refugees five days ago, deporting thousands of Afghan refugees so far. The Kabul Times
