Pakistan attacks on Afghan soil clear violation of international norms

Pakistan militaries have recently conducted air strikes and artilleries and attacked on Afghanistan Khost’s four villages and a village in eastern Kunar province. Targeting women and children and killing innocent individuals is clear war crime. Based on the resolutions of the UN General Assembly and UNSC, Pakistan air strikes targeting the Afghan soil are considered as clear violation of the country’s territorial integrity and against the international norms and laws.
Recent Pakistan air strikes and artilleries attacks on Afghanistan soil have two dimensions. Firstly, Pakistan wants to show to the world and its west allies particularly the U.S. that the country is committed to suppressing insurgency. Secondly, the distance between new government of Pakistan or in absence of Imran Khan show that relations with the country’s newly-elected prime minister Shahbaz Sharif is different and such attacks might continue in future.
Pakistan has somehow interfered in internal affairs of Afghanistan for the past 50 years. The current government of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan is responsible to defend the country’s national sovereignty, and their national geography.
Pakistan strategy towards the people of Afghanistan was aggressive and the people of Afghanistan are strongly condemning the recent attack of the Pakistan on Afghanistan soil, asking the Islamic Emirate (IEA) to review the issue.
The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) is asked to show the oppression and deprivation of the Afghan people to the world. On the other hand, the Pakistan claims in connection with presence the anti-Pakistan insurgents in the region were thoroughly baseless as those killed following recent attacks of the Pakistani side were all innocent individuals and have no links to insurgents.
The recent attacks are considered as the Pakistan government’s improper policy towards Afghanistan.
In reaction of the Pakistan recent air strikes and attacks, the Islamic Emirate (IEA) has warned that the Pakistani side not to test the patience of Afghans on such issues.
“The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan strongly condemns Pakistan’s attacks on refugees in Khost and Kunar. IEA calls on the Pakistani side not to test the patience of Afghans on such issues and not repeat the same mistake again otherwise it will have bad consequences. Problems between the two countries must be resolved through political means,” tweeted Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesman of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA).
Previously, some clashes have erupted between the IEA forces and Pakistan militaries along the Durand Line.
Following recent attacks conducted by Pakistani militaries, clashes erupted between the two sides. In some incidents, innocent civilians have been also killed and wounded.
Respect to national sovereignty and territorial integrity of countries is one of the principles of the international relations, but such principles have been continually violated by Pakistan against Afghanistan.
Based on the international relations principles, such attacks and violations are against all the international norms. It is worth mentioning that the principle of not interfering in internal affairs of other countries and mutual respect is one of the principles of relations between nations, which has not been observed by the Pakistan side.
