Over 70 development projects implemented in Sar-e-Pul

SAR-E-PUL: A total of 71 development projects worth 675 million Afghani (some 9.5 million U.S. dollars) have been implemented in the country’s northern province of Sar-e-Pul in the past year, the provincial Economy Department said in a statement Tuesday. Head of the provincial Economy Department Mawlavi Ghulam Haidar Haidari said that the projects have been implemented in health, education and agriculture sectors in the province within the last year, according to the statement. The achievements not only demonstrate the commitment and continuous efforts of local officials but also provide new hope and motivation for the people of the province, said Mawlavi Haidari adding that more than 5,000 people had been provided with job opportunities. It should be noted that dozens of similar projects costing hundreds of millions of Afghani were also implemented in other provinces, receiving warm appreciation from the public in the past year.
