Over 50,000 tons of goods transported through railway in a week, ARA

KABUL: A rough amount of 51,252 metric tons of com modities have been traded via the country’s railways in the past week, the Afghanistan Railway Authorities (ARA) said in a statement Sunday. “Around 32,767 metric tons of exports and imports have been made via Hairatan-Mazar-i-Sharif railway, 16,878 metric tons of commodities have been made via Torghondi railway and the rest has been made via Aqina and Khawaf railways,” the statement said. Tens of thousands of metric tons of commodities had so far been traded via the country’s railways in the past months of the current fiscal year. The Afghanistan Railway Authority is making efforts to provide traders with the necessary facilities and resolve the challenges facing them. The Kabul Times
