TARINKOT: Police, in the country’s central province of Uruzgan, have seized 2,850 kilograms of hashish, the provincial police office said in a statement Sunday. “2,850 kilograms of hashish have been discovered and seized by the provincial counter-narcotics personals in Khas Uruzgan district of the province,” the statement quoted the provincial police spokesperson Mawlavi Sadullah Zahid as saying. Search operations were underway to find and destroy poppy farmlands and drug processing labs in the province, according to the statement. Few days ago, over 1800 kilograms of Oman (Amphetamine) which is used in the production of drugs had been discovered and seized in Gezab district of Uruzgan province. The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) will not spare any effort to bring to zero cultivation of poppy countrywide and those are involved in the production and trafficking of drugs they will be dealt accordance with the law.
