KABUL: The National Statistics and Information Authority (NSIA) revenues to be connected with RMIS system, the office said in a statement the other day.
The tripartite meeting on signing Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the collection of revenues in electronic form and the connection of the Revenue Information and Management System (RMIS) with the billing issue system of the National Statistics and Information Authority was held the other day.
The meeting was attended by the leadership of the Ministry of Finance, the National Statistics and Information Authority and Da Afghanistan Bank.
The Memorandum of Understanding was made in compliance with the Resolution No. 5 of the cabinet of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, which states: “It was decided that transfer of all revenues of government departments and services should be changed to banking system.”
The aims of the MoU is to accelerate the revenue collection process of the National Statistics and Information Authority and simultaneously transferring the collected revenue to its bank account in Da Afghanistan Bank.
Also, to bring transparency in the process of revenue collection in exchange of services provided by the National Statistics and Information Administration, according to the statement.
The statement added that preventing physically collection of money and eradicating corruption, was also one of the aims of the memorandum of understanding.
