KABUL: The security and defense sector leadership meeting was held with National Security Advisor Dr. Hamdullah Mohib on the chair here on Monday evening, a statement from office of the national security council said yesterday.
The session review security situations in Farah, Kunduz, Helmand, Badghis, Badakhshan, Kandahar, Maidan Wardak, Uruzgan, Samangan, Faryab, Nangarhar and Herat provinces, the statement added.
The session said the Afghan forces were continuing suppressing enemies across the country and would spare no effort to foil their vicious goals. They also said offensive operations were going on and the militants sustained heavy casualties in different provinces of the country, the statement said.
The leadership of the security and defense sector assured the session on proper coordination and cooperation among them for security of the people.
Praising security and defense forces’ work, NSA Mohib emphasized on security of the highways, instructing officials to do more to increase coordination, the statement concluded.
