NSA, EU Ambassador discuss joint cooperation

KABUL: National Security Advisor, (NSA) Dr. Hamdullah Mohib in a meeting with the European Union Ambassador, exchanged views on various issues, including peace, security, joint counter-terrorism efforts and close cooperation, Bakhtar News Agency reported the other day.
The country’s national security advisor thanked the EU ambassador for the organization’s cooperation with the country, particularly its support to Afghanistan at the Geneva Conference, said the agency. Mr. Mohib also spoke about the new mechanisms for an intra-Afghan peace negotiations and peace talks with the Taliban, adding that the people of Afghanistan were supporting a lasting and full of dignity peace in their country and that all aspect of peace process would be led and owned by the Afghans, said the agency.
The EU ambassador assured of the organization’s continued cooperation with Afghanistan and help the Afghan government and people in reaching peace and stability.
