KABUL: National Security Advisor (NSA) of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Dr. Hamdullah Mohib met members of the Wolesi Jirga Thuesday night and stated of the need for cooperation between Wolesi Jirga and the security sector.
In his meeting with Hazara members of the Wolesi Jirga, the NSA said that the effectiveness of the reforms process alongside the government would require the parliament to support and overwatch and help create joint mechanisms to serve that purpose.
He encouraged the members of Wolesi Jirga to encourage more young women and men to enroll in the Afghan National Defense and Security Forces.
Members of Wolesi Jirga announced their full support for the ANDSF, the peace process and the rule of law.
They hailed the efforts of National Security Advisor Dr. Hamdullah Mohib in improving the parliament relations with the government and asked for expansion of such friendly relations to other sectors too.
NSA gave positive answers to their demands of improved security in the highways and the enrollment of capable and experienced individuals within the system.
