KABUL: The National Procurement Commission meeting chaired by President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani was held yesterday afternoon and approved 40 out of 48 procurement items, including projects in the security, health and infrastructural sectors, and the design and construction project of the Khanabad Kunduz power dam, a presidential palace statement said yesterday.
During the meeting, President Ghani emphasized the quality of the country’s defense and security forces’ food items and instructed that a committee be appointed to monitor the process, according to the statement.
The National Procurement Commission meet was attended by officials of the National Procurement Authority and observers of the Meshrano Jirga (Upper House of the Parliament).
