KABUL: In a meeting with the deputy Prime Minister, Mawlavi Abdul Kabir, the Norwegian Ambassador to Afghanistan said his country will never support military oppositions against the Islamic Emirate, a statement from the deputy Prime Minister said the other day.
Ole Andreas Lindeman, the Norwegian Ambassador to Afghanistan added that his country had good relations, continued friendship, shared work and political engagement with Afghanistan, the statement quoted.
“Norway would never support any military opposition against the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan,” he assured as quoted in the statement.
According to Lindeman, friendly relations needed political and friendly discussion and contacts between the two countries.
Pointing to long historical background of relations between Afghanistan and Norway, the country’s deputy Prime Minister, Mawlavi Abdul Kabir described relations between the two countries as friendly and said Afghanistan wanted good relations with the entire world nations including Norway, the statement added.
The deputy Prime Minister thanked the ambassador for his country’s attention to the Afghanistan crisis, particularly in a special meeting held about the country in Oslo city and direct meeting of the IEA delegation with the European Union officials and providing talks with the European based Afghan civil society, as well as the Norwegian cooperation in the demining field in Afghanistan, according to the statement.
To conclude with, the IEA deputy Prime Minister also shared detailed information with the ambassador about women’s work in the government agencies, girl’s education, hijab, inclusive government, the procedure of contact commission with Afghan personalities and removal of some administrations from the IEA structure.
