Nikki Haley admits U.S. failure in Afghanistan fueled other wars

A former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations and the 2024 presidential election candidate, Nikki Haley, has said if the U.S. hadn’t failed in Afghanistan, the Israel – Hamas and Ukraine – Russia wars would not occur. Speaking among her supporters in northern Carolina, Haley claimed that America’s hasty withdrawal from Afghanistan delivered the wrong message to America’s allies and foes. She made the remark in the city of Raleigh in North Carolina, among her supporters, saying North Korea’s intercontinental ballistic missile tests, China’s cyber-attacks on America’s infrastructure and Russia’s development of space weaponry are also outcomes of America’s withdrawal from Afghanistan. “Make no mistake, if we had not had that failure in Afghanistan, none of these would have happened,” Nikki Haley stated. The World is on fire, literally. You have got a war in Europe. You have got a war in the Middle East. You have got North Korea testing inter-continental ballistic missiles capable of hitting the U.S. You have got China doing cyber-attacks on our infrastructure. And now we have Russia blinding satellites, so we can’t see what they are doing,” she added. The withdrawal of American forces from Afghanistan was completed on August 30, 2021, marking the end of a 20- year war in the country. Nikki Haley was not the only one to admit to the failure in Afghanistan; many former American politicians and officials acknowledged America’s defeat in the 20-year war in Afghanistan. Prior to this, General Mark Milley, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the United States Armed Forces, admitted that America’s war in Afghanistan had failed. General Mark Milley, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the United States Armed Forces, said in his recent interview that he is “very sorry” about how the United States ended its 20-year involvement in Afghanistan and, in other words, admits that Washington failed in this war. In addition, recently, former U.S. President Donald Trump, in continued criticism of the domestic and foreign policies of the current United States government, labeled the withdrawal from Afghanistan as a surrender to the country. In a video commemorating the controversial 2020 election anniversary, Trump emphasized claims of fraud in the election and criticized the new government of the country. “I want to thank all the patriots in Arizona for the incredible job they’ve done and reported all the fraud, cheating and disorder in the 2020 presidential election,” he claimed in a video released on X (formerly known as Twitter) by his spokesperson, Liz Harrington, Trump. “Look at the borders, look at the economy, look at inflation, look at the withdrawal from Afghanistan, which was very humiliating. It wasn’t even a withdrawal; it was surrendering to those who didn’t even have weapons, and we lost $85 billion and 13 soldiers, and many were severely injured,” Trump said. Political analysts say that American officials now acknowledge their failure in Afghanistan after 20 years of occupation. As a result, they have been relieved of the headache they had caused the Afghans. The former U.S. special representative for the reconciliation of Afghanistan, Zalmay Khalilzad, had previously admitted in an interview with a Western media outlet that Afghanistan was a challenge for Americans. Therefore, the withdrawal of American forces from Afghanistan liberated them from the challenge. Therefore, despite spending billions of dollars over 20 years on its corrupt and puppet government and bearing casualties in both lives and finances to bolster it, America could not withstand the courage, faith, and sacrifices of the heroes of this land. The brave, courageous, and martyrdom-loving Afghan people, who had experienced the defeat of two superpowers in the past, once again confronted America with a humiliating defeat in this country and expelled it. The statements and remarks of senior American officials about the failure of the occupation of Afghanistan are themselves a confirmation of this claim. Ahmad Tamim
