New national curriculum expected to develop in Higher Education Ministry, Hanafi

KABUL: A new national curriculum should be developed and replaced with the previous one for the ministry of higher education, second deputy Prime Minister Mawlavi Abdul Salam Hanafi told a ceremony the other day.
In a ceremony introducing Neda Mohammad Nadim as the new acting minister of higher education, Hanafi said that the nation’s educational curriculum should be made in accordance with the international standards.
“No country will advance without education and we must work day and night to develop a new curriculum that addresses the country’s education needs,” said Hanafi adding the graduates were cadres serving the nation.
In the ceremony, the newly appointed acting Higher Education Minister said that the ministry would develop a curriculum based on Islamic Sharia and in accordance with the international standards. “The main aim of the Islamic Emirate is not just to have a ministry, but it wants the Afghan children receive an education helping them improve their capabilities,” said Nadim.
According to an information from the ministry, the curriculum for 40 faculties has already been approved and the process will continue in the future.
