Nearly 100 families deported by Pakistan last day

KABUL: A total of 98 families and 12 newly released Afghans from the jails of Pakistan, have been deported by the government of that country in the past day, the Ministry of Refugees and Repatriations said in a statement the other day. The families including 540 individuals have forcibly been expelled by the Pakistani government and returned to the country via the Spin Boldak port, the statement said, adding 12 Afghan nationals who had been imprisoned for not having legal migration documents by the government of Pakistan have been released and returned to the country. Afghan migrants’ expulsion has significantly in creased from neighboring countries of Iran and Pakistan in recent months. Based on the ministry’s figures millions of Afghan refugees have so far been deported by the Iranian and Pakistani governments. The Kabul Times
