Muttaqi to meet U.S. officials in Doha

KABUL: Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi leading a delegation left for Doha on Saturday for talks with U.S. officials, the ministry said in a statement the other day. “An Afghan delegation led by IEA Foreign Minister Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi will visit Doha at the end of July and hold talks with American officials on issues of mutual interest,” said the statement. “The delegation will discuss lifting sanctions, removal of Islamic Emirate members’ names from the blacklist, the release of Da Afghanistan Bank’s frozen assets and the violation of Afghanistan’s airspace,” according to the statement. The ministry said that the sides will also discuss bilateral relations. The Kabul Times
