Muttaqi, Pakistani delegation discuss transit, economic relations

KABUL: The Acting Foreign Minister Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi, in a meeting with Mohammad Khurram Agha, the Deputy Minister of Commerce of Pakistan and his accompanying delegation, discussed strengthening of transit, and economic relations between the two coun tries, the ministry said in a statement the other day. Speaking about the existing challenges between Pakistan and Afghanistan, Muttaqi expressed mutual respect for the shared values and responsibilities of both governments to ensure their realization and emphasized the need for collaborative and sincere efforts in finding solutions, according to the statement. Meanwhile, Mr. Khurram Agha assured that they would jointly work with Afghan officials to swiftly address all existing issues and challenges via discussions, the statement added. Both sides emphasized the importance of developing and strengthening commercial and transit relations. They also discussed the establishment of facilitation measures for the movement of passengers, patients, and traders across the hypothetical Durand Line. The Kabul Times
