Muttaqi in Islamabad discussing trade, political issues with Pak authorities

KABUL: The Acting Foreign Minister of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi and his accompanying delegation have arrived in Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan, where both sides discussed trade, political and economic issues with the neighboring country’s officials, the ministry said in a statement Saturday. Leading the high-ranking delegation, the country’s foreign minister met with his Chinese counterpart, discussing a series of issues including trade, political, transit, economic and other related issues, said the statement. At the threshold of the meeting, the country’s Minister of Commerce and Investment, Nooruddin Azizi met with his Pakistani counterpart Sayed Naweed Qamar. In the meeting, both sides exchanged views on various related issues, including trade, transit and development projects as well as the problems facing the development projects, according to the statement.
