Muttaqi discusses key issues with Pakistan political parties’ leaders

KABUL: The Acting Foreign Minister of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi and his accompanying delegation, during his stay in Islamabad, met with a number of high-ranking officials, influential figures and leaders of political parties of Pakistan, the ministry said in a statement Sunday. In the meeting, both sides discussed a series of issues including trade, political, transit, economic and other related issues, said the statement. At the threshold of the meeting, the country’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi met with his Chinese and Pakistani counterparts and exchanged views on bilateral issues of interest, including trade, transit and development projects as well as the problems facing the development projects, according to the statement. Also, Acting FM Muttaqi met with General Asim Munir, Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff, and discussed regional security, ease of movement of people, and issues related to Afghan immigrants, the statement added.
