MoU signed to facilitate export, import of agriculture products, ministry

KABUL: The Afghanistan Chamber of Agriculture and Livestock and the Iranian Business Center, in an official ceremony, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to facilitate and strengthen the export and import of agricultural products, the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock said in a statement on Tuesday. The ceremony was attended by a number of highranking Afghan and Iranian officials including the Acting Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock Mawlavi Ataullah Omari and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Iranian Business Center Husain Azari, the statement said. Speaking at the ceremony, Mawlavi Omari said his-led ministry is trying to facilitate the fields and opportunities for investment in the agriculture sector in Afghanistan, according to the statement. Expressing pleasure over the signing of the MoU, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Iranian Business Center Husain Azari said a delegation consisting of the representatives of major manufacturing companies will be sent to discuss necessary issues related to the agreement, the statement added.
