More than 90 inmates released from Kabul, Ghor jails

KABUL: As many as 91 prisoners have been released from Kabul and Ghor jails, in compliance with an order from the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Emirate ahead of the holy Eid ul-Fitr religious festivity, the other day, Bakhtar News Agency reported. The released prisoners included 47 women who have been jailed on charge of moral corruption, theft bribery and drug trafficking, in the two provinces, the state-run agency said citing the two provincial officials. The release has been to respect the Eid ul-Fitr as the Islamic Emirate Leader ordered ahead of the religious festival. The released prisoners have been advised not to disturb the order of families and societies and resolve their disputes through religious and legal consultations with the elders and religious scholars.
