More than 30 ancient coins recovered in Badghis

QALAY NOW: Provincial Directorate of Information and Culture of Badghis said Tuesday that the intelligence forces of the Islamic Emirate have discovered 36 historical gold and silver coins in Sang-e-Atash district of the province. Akhundzada Matiullah Mut taqi provincial Director of Information and Culture of Badghis said that the coins have been recovered by the intelligence forces in the Kalori area of Sang-e-Atash district of the province. “Eight of the recovered coins are gold and the remaining silvers,” he said. According to local officials, 4 people have been arrested on charges of smuggling the coins in the province. The directorate didn’t say if the ancient coins have been taken to the national museum of the province. The Kabul Times
