More than 30 acres of poppy land destroyed in Ghor

KABUL: Counter-drugs personnel have destroyed poppy farms in 35 acres of land in Ghor, Zabul, Farah and Laghman provinces of the country, Interior Ministry said Saturday.
Up to 20 acres of poppy cultivation have been destroyed in Charsada district of Ghor province, 7 acres in Diy Chopan district of Zabul and two acres in Qalat city, the capital of this province, has been destroyed, Ministry of Interior wrote on its official Twitter account.
In addition, three acres of poppy lands have been destroyed in Farah Ruad district of Farah province and another three acres in Laghman province, the ministry twitted.
The counter-drug officials of the Islamic Emirate have vowed to destroy all areas cultivated with poppy and bring the vicious phenomenon to nil all over the country.
