KABUL: Acting Minister of Public Health, Dr. Qalandar Ebad in a meeting yesterday with representatives of World Health Organization (WHO), United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) and the United Nations Fund for Population Activities (UNFPA) and other relevant organizations discussed further coordination, accountability and transparency between MoPH and the organizations.
Stressing on further coordination and accountability with organizations engaged in delivering health services in the country, the minister asked all the organizations to share their budget plans, contracts and approved contracts with the MoPH.
Criticizing the organizations of health services in the provinces said acting minister that work modality of most of the organizations was not acceptable, asking for serious coordination in this regard.
Insisting on the support of the IEA from all the international organizations operating in Afghanistan, acting minister said the IEA was committed to providing security for the organizations in the country.
Meanwhile, representatives of the international organizations by stressing on supporting the health sector in the country promised to cooperate in strengthening coordination and improvement of health services. The Kabul Times
