MoIC employees receive medical check-ups for diabetes

KABUL: KABUL: Hundreds of the employees of the Ministry of Information and Culture, in a special program, were diagnosed for diabetes on Sunday.
The program was attended by the Acting Information and Culture Minister Mullah Khairullah Khairkhwa and a number of the ministry’s high-ranking officials, the statement said.
The program, in cooperation with the Diabetes Management Center, was launched by the Human Resources Department of the ministry to examine the employees against diagnosis of diabetes.
Meanwhile, Dr. Aman Rahmani, the representative of the Diabetes Management Center said that since the establishment of this center, 42 thousand patients have been registered in this center and they are trying to provide better health services to all diabetes patients in the country.
Diabetes is a chronic disease that occurs either when the pancreas does not produce enough insulin or when the body cannot effectively use the insulin it produces. Insulin is a hormone that regulates blood glucose. Temori
