KABUL: Mawlawi Abdul Baqi Haqqani, acting Minister of Higher Education, in an opening ceremony of a workshop on “Periodic Review of Scientific Programs and Quality Assurance Criteria” has stressed on Standardization of educational institutions.
In the workshop held with participation of scientific personnel and representatives of public and private higher education institutions late on last week, acting minister of higher education stressed the standardization and self-sufficiency of the country’s educational institutions.
He said that the main reason for the progress and prosperity of the developed countries was their particularly attention and investment in the field of higher education with quality and standards, adding that Afghanistan had a long way to go to win in the field of science and progress.
Afterwards, Dr. Lutfullah Khairkhah, Deputy Scientific Minister of Higher Education, spoke and emphasized the sound competition between the country’s educational institutions for the provision of standard services.
In the workshop, head of Quality Assurance and Accreditation of the MoHE, briefed related to the importance of this workshop and said that in this workshop, professors were explaining the periodic review of scientific programs and eleven quality assurance criteria.
